This policy explains how BizTrotters handles your personal data when you visit this site and request early access. We keep data collection to a strict minimum and we never sell your data.

When you submit the early access form, we collect:
When you browse the site, our host may also process basic technical data (such as your IP address, browser type, date and time of visit) in its server logs, for security and to keep the site running.
When you submit the form, an automated anti-spam check runs. It looks at how the form was filled in, at the email domain, and at the country your connection comes from. The country is worked out on our own server from a local list of address ranges: your IP address is never sent to any outside service. We do not store your IP address. For rate limiting we keep a one-way fingerprint of it, which cannot be turned back into an address, for 24 hours.
If the check refuses a submission, we keep it aside for review so that a genuine request wrongly refused can be recovered. What we keep in that case is the same information you entered, plus the reasons for the refusal and the two-letter country code.
We do not use your data for third party marketing, and we build no profile of you. The anti-spam check is automated, but it only decides whether a submission is held back for review, never anything that affects your rights. Every held submission can be reviewed by a person, and you can ask us to look at yours by writing to us.
Your data is used only by BizTrotters and by the service providers that help us run the site, acting on our instructions. This currently means our host, OVH (storage of the site and its data), and, where relevant, the email service used to contact you. Your data is never sold or shared for advertising.
Your data is stored within the European Union, in our host's data centres. We do not transfer it outside the European Economic Area. If this ever changes, we will put appropriate safeguards in place as required by the GDPR.
We keep early access data until the launch of BizTrotters and for up to twelve months afterwards, unless you ask us to delete it sooner. Submissions set aside by the anti-spam check are kept for 90 days at most, then deleted automatically. The rate limiting fingerprint is kept for 24 hours. Server logs kept by our host are retained for a short period for security purposes.
Under the GDPR, you have the right to access your data, to correct it, to have it erased, to restrict or object to its use, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise any of these rights, write to hello@biztrotters.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority. In France, this is the CNIL (www.cnil.fr).
We use appropriate measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), restricted access to the data, storage on servers located in the European Union, and the principle of collecting only what we need.
This site and the BizTrotters service are intended for professionals. They are not directed at minors, and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under the age of majority.

We may update this policy, for example as the service evolves. The date at the top shows the latest version. Significant changes will be made clear on this page.
